about emma

Hello!

I am portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Hong Kong.

Digital photography grew very popular (and more affordable) in the mid 2000s. Once I got my hands on my first non-entry level camera (a Sigma, don't question!), I was hooked. I was a student back then and spent a lot of time shooting, exploring and discovering (and re-discovering) my interests & style. I shot scenery, streets, strangers, food, flowers, ferries, cats, still objects at home, everything.

After completing my law degree, I worked in the legal field for a few years during which I adopted my beloved cat Mally (irrelevant, I know) and married my beloved husband.  As I searched for our wedding photographer, I became increasingly convinced that my female perspective & shooting style may have something to offer in the local wedding industry that is dominated by male photographers and saturated with posey imagery.  After a few test shoots for old friends and thereafter shooting part-time for around a year, I eventually handed in my resignation and became a full time photographer.

Today, my focus is on engagements and boudoir sessions. I do also like to shoot a wedding once in a while. Check out the rest of the website to see if I am a good fit for you (and your loved one).
